There are many people in the world who claim to have been abducted by aliens. The most famous, however, is the case of the Reed family in America in the 1960s.

The Reed family’s encounter with aliens is a historic event.
In the spring of 2015, the Great Barrington Museum of History in Massachusetts, USA officially launched a case of the famous alien Reed family. This is believed to be the first alien encounter in the US or at least according to the organization, it is also a historic event.
However, reaching consensus is not easy. Three out of nine executive committee votes rejected UFO-related issues.
The Museum’s final decision caused a lot of controversy around: did aliens really kidnap the Reed family?
Reed family encounters with aliens
It all started in the small town of Sheffield, in Massachusetts in the 1960s. One evening in September 1966, six-year-old Thomas Reed and his brother Matt were sitting in their home on Boardman Road.
The scene is quite quiet; that day 2 boys slept later than the wall… then a light appeared.
Young Thomas suddenly saw a bright disc-shaped object appear and land in the yard. At that moment, everything seemed to change – including the pressure in their home.
The Reed brothers saw a strange spaceship glowing with creatures that did not belong to this world.

Before they could react, the creatures brought the two cousins on board. Thomas recounted that when he got there, strange creatures showed him images of a willow tree and a large body of water on a very large screen.
That was all Thomas recalled. It all happened very quickly and the boy was returned to his home on Boardman Road.
“It happened very quickly,” Thomas explained later. “I’m not sure if it happened in two seconds, or 10 minutes, or 20 minutes.”
A similar encounter occurred the year after 1967. That night two brothers were sleeping in the same room when they were awakened by a bright light and eerie silence. And again, they don’t understand why they were put in a spaceship.
During that encounter, the aliens seem to be plotting to dissect the two cousins, especially Thomas’s leg. He later described it as feeling like walking on a Petri dish.
The last time the Reed family encountered aliens was in 1969 – when Thomas, Matt, their mother and grandmother were driving home from a horse race at Ashley Falls on 7th Street.
Just like the previous two appearances, there aren’t any special warning signs. Then everything was quiet and a strange light appeared that made Thomas remember the creatures on the spaceship.
He still remembers the objects inside a large dark room, a bag enveloping his body, a series of sprawling and glowing corridors and the cries of his mother and family members for help. .
After mysteriously returning to the vehicle, the Reed family experiences a sense of confusion and disorientation. They believe their car is in a completely different place than when they were kidnapped. Not only the furniture in the car was disturbed, but the members’ positions were also different from before.
Thomas saw her first, his grandmother wandering aimlessly in the middle of the road. Although Thomas’ mother had been driving before, she was sitting in the back seat now and seemed quite bewildered. His brother Matthew was cold and huddled in the back seat.
Evidence for the kidnapping
The claims of Thomas Reed and his family have been investigated by Bigelow Aerospace, the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) and many other organizations. They found some remarkable evidence for Thomas’s account as follows:
1) Corresponding UFO reports recorded by area residents
Until the kidnapping in 1969, the first witnesses were only Thomas and his brother Matt. However, when the Reed family was apparently abducted by aliens on a public highway, there were several witnesses unrelated to the Reed family to testify. At least 40 other people reported seeing an unidentified flying object or strange lights in the area that evening.
2) Magnetic field appears in each encounter
During each encounter, Thomas described the sudden change in air pressure. Official reports stored in the town of Sheffield also show unexplained pulses of radiation and ambient magnetic field readings each time the station is bored.
3) Lie machine test with Thomas Reed
In 2010, Thomas underwent a polygraph test in his hometown of Knoxville. He answered about the 1966 incident – and the lie machine showed that he answered every question related to the clash completely truthfully.
The case of aliens abducting the Reed family is recorded in history
During the 1960s, these three alien encounters rocked the quiet town of Sheffield, Massachusetts and changed the lives of four members of the Reed family forever.
Thomas Reed and his family have come up with convincing explanations for real-life alien abductions. However, it was not just them that saw some strange things, during the 1969 kidnapping, dozens of townspeople also reported seeing unidentified flying objects in the area.
Whether or not the alien abduction of the Reed family is true, it is now part of history at the Great Barrington Museum of History.
