Not long ago, a young woman in Türkiye was in a serious car accident while riding her motorbike to work. Although she is still unable to walk and is still undergoing physical therapy, she believes her grandmother gave her a sturdy helmet, so she can return from the dead.
According to media aggregation, 22-year-old Asli Ece Ersoy from Eskisehir in northwestern Turkey, after graduating from university, has been in the auto business ever since.
On the morning of October 1, 2022, she was driving her motorbike to work as usual, when she was going through a roundabout in the city, she collided with a minibus from the middle lane suddenly crashing to the left. Due to the strong impact, she was thrown away, a motorcycle tire rolled out. She lost consciousness immediately and was rushed to the hospital by people.
In a later interview, Asli said she vaguely heard someone calling her after she lost consciousness, and when she tried to open her eyes, she found herself in the ambulance, the nurse beside her. repeatedly shouting at her: “Asli, wake up! Breathe a little harder!” When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in the hospital.
Asli’s body was severely damaged in the accident, her spine and left arm were broken, and her whole body was in great pain. She was sent to the intensive care unit for 20 days of treatment, and at one point her life was in danger.
“I have had four surgeries so far, but I still cannot walk and use my left hand. I hope to recover as soon as possible ,” she said.
The treating doctor said that although Asli is now discharged from the hospital, she still needs regular physical therapy, her health is not so ideal and still needs constant monitoring.
Asli’s relatives and friends consider it a miracle that she survived such a serious car accident. But Asli herself believes that her grandmother saved her life. She said her grandmother had dreamed of her being in a car accident before, so she specially saved money to buy her a good helmet with a high price. She added: “I’ve never had a good hard hat before.”
It is worth mentioning that after the accident happened, she took the helmet to check it carefully and discovered that there was indeed a deep crack on it. She thinks that if her grandmother had not given her this helmet, her life would have been lost.
