The scariest urban legends ever spread in the land of Aries.
The cold, desolate atmosphere in some parts of Russia has inadvertently become the perfect backdrop for the birth of many goosebumps of urban legends and phenomena. Not only that, some of these have even been confirmed as mysterious phenomena that have occurred in real life for decades.
Hell’s Well
According to an urban legend that has been widely circulated, a Russian team of scientists once carried out a drill in Siberia. These people have encountered strange phenomena that no one can explain. While drilling a large hole, the machine began to spin. The scientists felt a tremendous amount of heat emanating from the borehole, and if they listened closely, many members claimed to hear faint noises coming from within. The team decided to use a thermal tester to probe the temperature at the bottom of the pit. The result surprised many people when the measured temperature was about 2000 degrees F.
To learn about the strange noises coming from the hole, they continued to lower the probe microphone and heard a sound they will never forget: human screams in pain.
It was the most terrifying scream any of them had ever heard. The team quickly realized that the deep hole they had just drilled was a hellhole.
Collector
The urban legend revolving around the Collector in Russia is said to have originated from a true event. In 2011, a man was arrested in Russia after being found guilty of a crime he had committed. This person likes to dig up corpses and display remains in the house. In total, he dug up 29 remains.
This grisly event became the inspiration for the legend of the Collector to be born. The Collector is described as a mysterious figure, specializing in kidnapping, murdering victims and displaying their mummies.
Although rumors of a character with a hobby of collecting perverts also appear in many other countries around the world, the level of authenticity of the Russian version of the Collector is said to be the scariest.
Black bird in Chernobyl
Many people know the terrible Chernobyl disaster, but not everyone knows the horror story that happened to some people before the disaster struck.
According to a few living witnesses, just before the nuclear plant melted down, they all experienced strange phenomena. They have nightmares, receive threatening phone calls, and encounter a giant winged monster known as the black bird of Chernobyl.
Accordingly, the sources all share the same description of this creature’s form. It looked like a large man with huge wings and red eyes. Some witnesses added that they believe they saw it above a reactor shortly before the disaster.
This urban legend is partly related to the story of the Butterfly Man – the harbinger of doom in West Virginia. The Butterfly Man is said to have appeared just before the Silver Bridge collapsed.
